Electropolished (Ra 0.8 µm 32 µin)
Definition and Function
  • Electropolishing is an electrochemical finishing process that removes microscopic peaks and surface irregularities from metal parts. The workpiece acts as an anode in an electrolytic bath, where the high points dissolve preferentially, resulting in a smooth and bright surface. Its primary functions are to improve surface smoothness, enhance corrosion resistance, remove micro-burrs and contaminants, and create a clean, hygienic finish.

Gold

After electropolishing, the surface appears silvery-white or mirror-bright. The base metal color remains unchanged, but the reflectivity and brightness are significantly increased.
